Campaign Story

Hello! My name is Danielle Flores and my husband Orlando and I desperately want a big family! We are both teachers and love children. We have a beautiful 4 year old daughter together, Eva Joy, who is truly a joy to everyone she meets! 3 years ago, we started trying for another baby to give Eva a sibling. After 2 years of trying on our own, we realized we might need to reach out for help.

After seeing a fertility doctor, the doctor said I probably had endometriosis with the symptoms I described. (They can’t diagnose you with it 100% until you have surgery) .Endometriosis is when uterine lining that normally sheds every month during your period, also grows in places it isn’t supposed to which can cause a lot of pain as it also sheds during your period, and fertility issues. The doctor suspected this was labor/delivery induced as my symptoms started after I had my daughter.

The fertility doctor ran many other tests on my husband and I and said we were very healthy and there was no other reason that would cause us to not get pregnant. A year ago, I had a Laparoscopy Surgery to remove the endometriosis that was growing around various organs, including on my uterus. I was told I had stage 2 Endometriosis the surgery went well and we should be able to conceive in 3-4 months (6 months at the most) Well, we are here a year later discussing doing IUI and IVF. Our fertility doctor is surprised we are not pregnant yet and labeled it as “Unexplained Second Infertility” As two teachers, affording fertility treatment is very difficult. We have begun selling things and taking on extra jobs in order to pay for it but know if it is more than one IUI, we might not be able to afford another one for a while.

We are believers in Jesus and know He has a plan for us and anyone who is trying to conceive. Life is a gift from God. We just want to be proactive and use any help we can get and watch God work through whatever situation we are in! He gave us the vision of another baby and we are just trying to walk in that vision and promise.
